Improvements in laboratory technology have helped medical
professionals to more accurately diagnose and better manage illnesses. Our facilities are equipped with modern
laboratory equipment and blood counts are analyzed (link to hematology) in all of our offices. Complete blood counts results are available
within minutes after a specimen is drawn and this helps the physicians and
nurses at Pacific Oncology tailor the treatment plans of our patients.
Machines with the ability to analyze blood chemistries and tumor markers are now available at our Cancer Center site. Having this technology on-site further improves our ability to diagnose and treat patients.
The importance of highly qualified and certified medical laboratory technologists on our team cannot be understated. These members assure that tests are run properly and efficiently for all of our patients. They also play an essential role sorting by through the dizzying array tests available to diagnose rare diseases.
